A clever little tool for making seed pots from newspaper. It's both amusing and ecological. Cut newspaper into strips. Roll them around the upper part of the tool. Fold the paper under the press, place on base and push down. Plant your seeds in these little pots, filled with compost and water daily. When plants are sufficiently mature, place the pots into the garden soil where they will gradually decompose.

I discovered this lovely wagon in a Cotswold garden I visited this year. It has so many uses around the garden, collecting grass clippings whist mowing, collecting weeds as you work your way around the garden, moving compost, mulch, plants, logs, hay, cushions for garden furniture. One lady in the village takes this on the walk to school with all her kids bags, musical instruments, lunch boxes & sports kit in (and sometimes the dog too!).

These lovely hessian sacks have been used for so many things in my garden. Originally for storing leaves through the winter which break down into a lovely leafmould to use the following year. Now I also use them to cover tender plants with over the winter. They fit over tree ferns perfectly with straw around their tops for extra protection. I also use them for storing potatoes and other veg. as well as bulbs lifted earlier in the year.
